Jaelyn and Elias are both grasping more and more what the real reason is behind holiday's. Easter has always pulled at my heart, and this Easter it did at theirs as well. A video was shown during our church service that had Jaelyn with tears welled up in her eyes and Elias with his head buried in my lap. On one hand, you want to protect them from knowing what really happened to Jesus for all of us and on the other, you want them to know the story and not take Jesus' love for granted. Jaelyn turns to me later in the service and says, "Mom, not just grown-ups need to tell people about Jesus' love. Kids need to know too." I love the sensitivness of their hearts.
